Greetings all,

Matt reports that he and his crew have been extra busy taking advantage of this great spring weather. They’ve been working long days (and nights!) getting planted and prepared for the upcoming season. They have many cooler season crops in, and almost all look like they’re doing quite well. Kale, salad mix, head lettuce, spinach, onions, peas, radish, turnips, potatoes, arugula, and others to name just a few, are up and growing well. Matt has been at the Kent market for few weeks now and has seen some of you there. He thanks you for stopping by. In the coming weeks, Matt's crew will continue to plant more and more of the cooler weather crops and as the weather warms they’ll start in on the warmer stuff. Matt feels thankful for the current conditions, especially now that there's been some rain over the last day or two. The temperatures have been perfect for this point in the season ... much better than the hot spring last year! As we mentioned in February, all the shares are spoken for this year. If you didn't get in but wish to, let Matt know so that you can be on the mailing list for next year. Those who are members should note that the first CSA pickup will be on 5/22, 5/25, or 5/26, depending on which pick up location you chose. Matt sent out an email explaining the logistics, so hopefully you are all set with knowing where to be when. If not, shoot me an email, and I can try to help clarify things. Matt requests that members be prompt for pick-up (within reason) because he has tons of stuff to do and can’t really hang out in a parking lot too long. Thanks for your consideration. We are looking forward to another great year, I hope you are as well. Thank you all so much for joining the CSA and supporting local and organic foods.

Best wishes,

Lisa
